Faith Love Joy

Hello Crafty Friends,

Yes, today’s title may seem strange, but it comes from the stamp set I used today to create an encouragement card I needed for a friend. This design was fun to do, and I was really pleased with the outcome.

I started with one of my new favorite cardstock colors- Rustic Rose (which can be seen behind the stencil in the photo) as well as one of our new stencils- Flower Power.Image_1531241628376

I used the bottom left stencil on a panel that was trimmed down to 4″x5.25″, and then sponged Journey Silver ink over it using a large dauber. Before it dried, I sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. Then I lightly brushed that with copper panpastel using my finger tip.  And this is how it looks up to this point. 🙂

The rest was pretty basic.  Cut a strip of scrap Journey Vellum to fit across front, stamped *Sending you* in Black Licorice ink in center top and heat set.  Folded the edges over and adhered to back. Then stamped *Faith Love Joy* from the same stamp set (Hope Anchors) in Clear Pigment ink, sprinkled with copper embossing powder and then heat set. Using coordinating die, I cut out the sentiment; adhered to panel using Journey Foam Squares. Using Silver Silk, I lightly sprinkled some over the panel.  Cut a 2/75″ x little under 5.5″) strip of Fresh Sage cardstock and adhered to the left side of Tin Pail card base in A2 size (4.25″ x 55.5″). Before adhering the main panel, I wrapped Rustic Rose satin ribbon around and then tied Fresh Sage  thread and a strip of the Rustic Rose ribbon to it on front.   Then adhered entire panel to front of card using easy glide tape runner. Added some sequins from the new Sunrise Mix, and called it done. I really liked how it turned out considering it was one of those *I have no idea what I am going to do days*.

Happy Friday!

Hello Crafty Friends and friends to be,

It has been a busy week around here, however I did make some time to pull out one of my favorite Bloom Benefit stamps this afternoon for some fun playing. What is a Bloom Benefit (BB)? It is FREE product you can get for every $75 of product you order. For EVERY $75. So if you spend $150, you get two Bloom Benefits, plus you qualify for some other Hostess benefits. 🙂   Awesome, isn’t it? I think so. And the new catalog has some pretty fun choices too!

This Bloom Benefit is an AT stamp called Simple Hello.  I really like the simpleness yet elegance of this stamp. SO many ways to use it.

Today I also wanted to use some of our new Tim Pail and Rustic Rose cardstocks. The card base itself is an A2 (4.25″ x 5.5″) sized top folded base from the Tin Pail (real pale grey). The base panel is the Rustic Rose, and I used our clear pigment ink to stamp the image all over in a random pattern. Heat set it to dry the clear pigment ink. Then used a scrap piece of Journey Vellum to heat emboss the same image in our new Rose Gold embossing powder. LOVE how it looked! I fussy cut it out and set  aside. I didn’t want to make the card too bulky by adding ribbon, so I pulled out the Whip Cream Sparkle Tape, and ran two strips of it over my Rustic Rose ink pad and left one plain. Added them to middle of panel and then adhered the Hello image to the center before adhering it to card front. Added some sequins from the Sunrise collection and some Bloom Benefit embellishments. Sprinkled on some whip cream silk before calling it done.  I like how simple yet adorable this one turned out.

Hello Fellow Crafty Friends and Friends to Be! Welcome to my new revamped blog- Inky Keni. Why this name? Where did it come from? Well, simply put- I have been called Keni for most of my teenage and adult life by those closest to me, and I like to get *inky*; which of course means what? I am a paper crafter! And I love to use inks as well as other mediums to create various projects. I also like to do mixed media and alter every day items around the house.

I will keep this post short and sweet ….. this time.

I am also a Journey Coach for this fantastic company- Fun Stampers Journey. I signed up in 2014 and instantly fell in love with the products offered. I especially liked that the deep etched red rubber stamps were, and still are, made and manufactured here in the USA! As FSJ grew and expanded the products offered, it became better and better each catalog year. Matter of fact, this year’s new Inspiration Book and Catalog is 334- YES!!  I said 334!!- pages!!  The largest on the market! FULL COLORED! Plus every quarter we offer a new mini trends catalog. How great is that?

I look forward to showcasing products in this fabulous catalog with you. And maybe some other things here and there too.

Thanks for stopping by, and I will be back soon with a *Blog schedule* and another fun post. 🙂

Subscribe so you don’t miss future posts, projects, techniques, tips, specials, etc.

Happy crafting until next time!
